Painting process & thoughts

Optimus' face and forearm needed fixing. And both of their chests needed increasing. I draw breast sizes on the smaller side due to problems stemming from youth. I used to draw ladies with large chests all the time on my notebooks and my Catholic teachers heavily disproved. Add in my parents opinions and these are things I am aware of. I'm the one that came back to the painting and said ..oh they need increasing. My bisexual ass said let's have fun.

Every painting is a process for me. I know I'm likely to change my view a few times. I don't pre pencil anything out, I love to wing it and see how it fares. Does this waste a lot of paint and time? Oh… maybe but it's a part of my process. I pick up on great brain things that might be good to add or change to the painting, as the hours/ days go by during the process of the commission/art.

Somewhere along my art journey, one of my mentors made me aware that every artist has their own vision. If three artists are looking at the same model, they will all have their own version of that model. Some may paint the model with a large forehead if that's their inclination. Or a larger nose, etc.

And rather than seeing that as artistic interpretation, my brain sought to replicate as close to photographs as possible. Knowing I may see a photo differently under different occaisons, makes me be even more scrutinizing of features when I'm painting. Maybe obsessively, I am retouching things up to get it just right. It really helps me to take a photo of my art and scrutinizie it while drinking tea, this is where I come up with what to fix and where to go next.

Here we can see how I've adjusted Optimus' forearm. The original pose was off the top of my head. I took a photo of my arm and used that as a reference for a better flowing pose and a better hand. The boobs have been enlarged, Oh and Op's face got a whole red-do. I was painting the features too elongated which set everything off. The head was also large in comparison to the frame. adjusted the hair and lightened up Megatron's hair too. Meg's gets purple lipstick next. I'm not keen on the red for her anymore.

Still working on this painting of Millenia old lesbian Milfs in blouses and skirts, ready to jet set off somewhere fun.
