Which projects to choose/setting up the year

Right now is the busiest time of year for me. I need to have my proposals ready for all the shows within my region I want to participate in this year. How far am I willing to travel? There's a few conventions that run on the same weekends, which do I pick. Also goes for mural proposals and what not. I have a lot of ideas, I'm having an issue getting them to paper. Life keeps surprising me with extra struggles, and those make it harder to keep focused on what I want to do-which is prep for this art year.

I mean, almost all the proposals and applications are due over the next four weeks. If you've never filled out an application to submit your art for a juried fair, it's quite a process. And you must follow the rules. Meaning only submit the required photos, required amount of pages and text. Artists are notorious rule breakers, but we must maintain order somehow. And they (the judges and beneficiaries/sponsors and what not, request and require artists to follow set rules when submitting art for competitions.
