Art Goals 2023 ongoing discussion
Keep experimenting!!!! The happier I feel to break rules and do my own version of perspective and buildings, reinforces that I'm going in the right direction.
There was a point where I would work myself up so much, being unsure if I could make the image in my head. I trust myself a lot more and the process a lot more now. I had to fail a lot to see the positives to this. Last year was a heck of a learning curve on my art.
The red -eye snek train work in progress.
I'm still viewing my art through a camera lense, and making adjustments according to my moods.
Sometimes the whole color theme changes in a whim. That's why I love acrylics. I needed the ability to change it up as I delve deeper into my experience with my art. Each piece unfolds a story from the moment I thought of it, to the finish. Rarely do I ever have a painting come out exactly how I had the first vision of it. I find I'm always improving on the idea, taking it as far as I can go.
Also, more zine work!
My formative years were heavily influenced by pulp zines, I want to bring that vibe into my art this year.
