Social media numbers game/Celebrate the small wins

With the “Rise of the Beasts” movie hype, and subsequent increase in followers on social media, I was inspired to make a few more pieces of fan art.

Ultimately, social media numbers don’t mean anything. Sometimes they bring sales, but mostly, it’s just a quick dopamine hit.

That being said, life is short, you have to celebrate your own mini wins. And these are wins. I’ve never had numbers like this before. I used to dream of these numbers, had a lot of humble pie to eat instead. So these didn’t go to my head, but I celebrate these wins no matter what.

This piece flew off quickly, I stopped screencapping at the 24 hr mark.

I'm really inspired by Arcee’s design, it's gorgeous and perfect in my honest opinion

So naturally, I drew another piece, but just of her alone.

The attention this piece recieved was something I hadn't experienced before. It was incredible, it moved so fast, the number still grows a little but I don't need to record it anymore. I'm happy. Celebrate those small wins. For a moment in time, lots of people saw my art and many were moved by it to engage with it in some way. I appreciate it.

So while the numbers game doesn't always work out, for me it worked out this time This series of Arcee art, brought a bunch of customers to my door. People have bought the original art, and commissioned for more. I'm thrilled and hope to keep riding this wave as long as it lasts.

This final photo shows a commissioned art piece, the original arcee art and a few other purchased things from my shop. I'm lucky to love seeing the fruits of my labor like this. I'm eternally greatful for the support.
